Or maybe you want to start your day by enjoying a huge, delicious cinnamon roll. Here’s a list of dining options close to Buffalo River Outfitters' location to grab a bite or sit down to a hot meal and relive the day’s adventures.


Ferguson's Restaurant

This large log-cabin building right on Highway 65 can't be missed. Known for down-home hospitality and their warm, gooey cinnamon rolls, Ferguson’s Restaurant is a great choice for large or small groups looking to sit down and enjoy traditional country cooking. The huge building also houses a charming gift shop and furniture store. The best thing about Ferguson’s location is that it’s right on your way out of Gilbert, so it’s perfectly located for after-river winding down.

Coursey’s Smoked Meats

This smokehouse-style deli is locally famous for their delicious smoked meat sandwiches and delectable bacon. The small, shack-style location is inviting and friendly and a great place to grab picnic basket fillings before you head to the river.

Big Springs BBQ

This charming restaurant is a community favorite. They have a full menu of great dining options for any barbecue lover and offer a variety of sliced deli meat to-go. The restaurant also doubles as a small gift shop/boutique. The environment here is warm, welcoming and distinctly southern. You’ll feel right at home and filled to the brim with good food and good conversation.

If you are looking to buy groceries or for more mainstream food options, Marshall, AR is located about 15 minutes south of the Buffalo National River and contains a Harp’s Grocery Store and a Dollar General. There are also fast food options such as Sonic, McDonald’s, etc.
